Manchester City on Wednesday, March 15 crashed out of the Champions League Round of 16, Game 2 following a 3-1 defeat suffered at Stade Louis II against Monaco. The French side has now advanced to the quarterfinals on away goals after finishing 6-6 on aggregate.
With a 5-3 lead entering this one, City went with an attacking lineup that missed close chances and lacked precise passing to do damage, as a late goal from Monaco turned the tide.
The hosts got off to a flying start, scoring two goals in the opening half hour. It was young star Kylian Mbappe with his 11th goal in as many matches, finishing at the front post just eight minutes in.
